I enjoy the /-occasional-/ flame war.  It makes a nice break from the 
technical.  

Its good that you are passionate about what you are writing.  It is a shame 
that you have backed yourself into a corner of "I QUIT", nevertheless even if 
you do choose to stay in this list people will quickly forget this little 
event. So don't take it personally and you might even learn something.

why do you feel that you/we have to do something about it?  You are the one 
who chose to bait the Troll and now you are leaving?  Perhaps the lack of 
support that you perceive is simply others choosing not to feed the flames?
