cthumb is great for thumbnail web galleries, if that's what the
question is about.

cthumb works in a very Unixy way, which is why I love it.  You create
a directory, chuck in your files and run cthumb.  It outputs a text
file with spots for captions, descriptions and the like.  Edit the
text file and run cthumb over it again.  Out spurts your web gallery.
Wanna make a change?  Edit the text file and run cthumb over it
again.
