Well - they might have changed, but I tried to open an online
account with them about a year ago and it was a disaster:

When I set it up they insisted I set up a standing order into the account.
The plan was to move all my direct debits to that account, but it took them
so long to set it up, that by the time it was ready , I didn't have time to
move any of my direct debits (they couldn't even move my Nationwide
mortgage without 15 days notice in writing!). So I asked them to cancel the
standard order, but they denied it had ever been set up.  However, they
were lying, so the standing order emptied my other account, causing all
my direct debits to bounce.

They also were singularly unhelpful sorting this out.

Needless to say, I closed the account!

I wouldn't touch them again with a very long bargepole!
