I've recently got a Logitech Quickcam Pro 3000, works OK with xawtv on a
2.4.18 kernel but the picture is very small and jerky and the colour
isn't too good. Not sure if this is due to the modules or xawtv itself,
I've not looked into optimizing it yet.
It looks fine in Win2000 on the same machine at 640x480. (quality just
being limited by the USB connection maybe).
You do need a binary-only kernel module (see:
http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam/ ) in addition to the open-source one,
this is because the signal has to be "decompressed" using some
proprietary system.
