On further investigation I noticed that I may have needed to do a
"depmod - a"
I have no idea if this is correct and if I am running kernel 2.4.16 and do
it, how will this build the modules.dep file in the /lib/modules/
directory. Do I have to say "depmod - a [target_directory]" or something
else to that affect.
