BLUG at COMTECH. Brixton Linux Users Group has a new home at Comtech
(Community Technology) and cordially invites you to the opening session on
Thursday, June 6th from 6:30pm - 9:30pm.
This meeting gives everyone a chance to share ideas
and find out what skills, time and resources could be on offer.
Presently, Comtech has a number of large computer-based rooms, some
up and running for daily training/work placement programs, others in use for
recycling/rebuilding
work. Comtech has its own open source-based plan/project named "The Cube" of
which BLUG is its first activity and priority.

Although BLUG plans on making all Thursday evenings (between 6:30pm -
9:30pm) a general open event, BLUG hopes to promote a much more focused and
specialized niche on the first Thursday of the month throughout the local
area. Thus, the aim is to dedicate one night solely to the
immediate needs and interests of BLUG. The remaining Thursdays can develop
less formally with more open forum.

Not surprisingly, the goals are simple:

So here we are: Alan, Alex, Mark, Neville, Nicole, Sanchez, Steve,
Theo and others, in and around Comtech, and we welcome you to join us and
make this new Linux users group the huge success that open source ideas and
action deserves.
