[Gllug] Can't get my CNet PRO200WL netcard to work in Gentoo

Just out of interest, does anyone know *why* it's called "mrproper"?
I've been using it for the past decade or so, but have never really
known where the naming comes from. I guess something must have
convinced Linus to name it than, rather than "realclean" or "distclean"
or similar...
