I think it's probably the best book on mathematics I've ever read, and
both it and it's companion, "Advanced Engineering Mathematics" have
pride of place on my bookshelf. I guess that just goes to show how wide
a variety of viewpoints there are...

BTW, Harry, you say you've done up to equivalent of A level, yet imply
you haven't covered calculus. Is that right? Certainly I did calculus
even at pre-A level. I assume you want this for your game engine. Does
Stroud not give you the info you want for that? Other than that, there's
another book I'd recommend, but I can't remember its name off the top of
my head. I'll try and remember to look it up over the weekend.
