[Gllug] Variable dial-up connection with Linux cmp XP

haven't used freeserve, BUT the thing that caught my eye was that you
are using two different modems
one of them might connect at a higher speed?
or one of them might be better in general?
tried to connecting to freeserve with the external modem?
or vice-versa? (if possible, guessing it's a winmodem)
