Thanks that seems to have fixed it, without a reboot as well.
It is a bit iffy from inside the network still. I use dyndns to create a
link to the WAN port from inside, so there is not dns lookup on my network
but I think the poor thing gets a bit confused gettting a connection from
inside to outside and then gets its own IP address!
