Hi,
I want to burn a disc for a friend in Canada who insists on using an iMac,
which has MacOS 9.x on it. He says he hasn't got enough money to buy OSX, and
not even enough to buy the full version of a shareware MP3 player that exits
with a nag screen after playing ten songs. I've told him he could consider
open source and sent him various FSF and OSS links, but I'm not going to
labour the point as I'll end up sounding like one of those annoying Jehovah's
Witness people who keep turning up at your door even though you've threatened
them with Satanic sacrificial rituals.
Anyway, that's not the point.
Until he sees the light, is there a way I can burn a Mac (HFS, I believe...?)
discs in Linux? xcdroast and cdrecord don't seem to have the options... are
there other tools that will do it? I bet I'm missing something simple...
Perhaps more generally, does anyone know what CDs Macs (or at least MacOS 9)
will read, eg. UFS, Rock Ridge, Joliet, etc.
Cheers,
Jon
