So, am I right in thinking that the 'system' is not set up to allow
'humbles' like me to get easy access to MX record control?

Am I also right in thinking that most 'humbles' can cope without this?

I still can't see how or where 'more-than-humbles' get access to this
feature and any others needed to run an enterprise mail system. Do they
have to register directly with ICANN or something?

Am I also right in thinking that this is a concern only for 'less than
humble' Microsoft users, who will be content to take their mail from a
remote server over which they have no control?

If only I had started thinking before starting out on this endeavour :-)
