we were running spamassassin on every incoming email on our mailserver,
ran the full program each time, didn't use spamd & spamc
VERY bad idea

sending 100+ emails at once killed the machine.. :o(

spamd with spamc solved that problem
now it usually takes 0.5-1 second to process an email, before it used to
take about 10 seconds and the load was much higher as well
