I can't see anything obviously wrong with that. You've got bootp and/or
rarpd running somewhere on that subnet?

The problem with weird hardware is that it can stop being made :(

(not that I've got a dreamcast or even seen one...)



I had misconfigured my kernel - when I took away initrd support it booted
cleanly from the NFS volume. As for the DC, it's a great little thing. In
about 18 months I wrote two device drivers (one for the sound card and one
for a force-feedback device) and a filesystem - a great way to learn about
kernel internals and pose as an uber geek :->
