[Gllug] Access Runner modem on Linux

I've just read your *rant* about installing your modem on Linux while I was looking for advice on the same thing.  I am totally new to this Linux thing (I've just installed Redhat 9) and I'm finding it very difficult to get my head around!  

Based on what you've wrote, can I assume that I would be wasting my time to try and get this card correctly configured?
