Thanks for the suggestion, palm does work very well with evolution.

Everyone else here runs framemaker as a required application - all 
licences are for Windows :-(

I did have a look at their site and they list Framemaker for Linux; 
however no mention of Linux so I am not quite sure what platform they 
are referring to.  The only demos they do are for Win and Mac.

I am happy with my zaurus and a couple of perl scripts :-)
