On Thu 14 Aug, John Hearns bloviated thus:

I'd actually prefer to have less caffeine. High caffeine tends to
indicate either cheap Robusta beans are in use or it's been very
minimally roasted. Besides which, I'd rather have two cups than just
one.

I'm one of those rare people for whom caffeine actually works. I
can't have any caffeine after about midday if I want a decent night's
sleep. This is great for the mornings as it really reduces the time
it takes to clear my head and properly wake up. Only problem is, I
love coffee and can't drink as much as I'd like to.

What I'm really looking for is a specialist roaster that roasts every
day. Ideally keeps their freshly roasted beans in the fridge in
small, vaccuum sealed packages. In Sydney there's a chain called The
Coffee Roasters who do this. Would love to find a local equivalant.
