Hi All
Thanks for the advice, I have decided to go with vsftp, and all seemed to be
going well, but I can't log into the damn thing now. I have the anonymous
user setting to NO, and the local user setting to yes, and it won't work, it
prompts me for a username, and the moment I type my passwd it denies? Any
ideas, or has anyone experienced this while setting theirs up?
And my vsftpd.log doesn't tell me much to be honest?

My vote goes to vsftpd (http://vsftpd.beasts.org/).
It claims to be "probably the most secure and fastest FTP server for
UNIX-like systems" and runs the ftp sites for the following:
RedHat, SuSe, OpenBSD, UKFSN, UKPOST, GNU, etc.
The site has lots of useful information.
It is also *very* easy to configure.
