Yes and no. In another message, you said:

sendmail.cw has been renamed to local-host-names in newer versions of
sendmail, so they're effectively the same file. That said, the fact
that you have the new hostname first in the file implies is should be
working fine. Have you restarted sendmail since changing the hostname?
