[Gllug] Releasing MC address from Cable Modem

Hi

Is there an equivalent in SuSE 8.1 to the windows programme winipcfg.exe which 
you cab use to rease a pc'c MAC address from a cable modem ?  If not how can 
I do this in 8.1.  I'm running ntl cable and need to do this to connect the 
modem to a Vigor 220E router.
