True, I think 10 quid even for an SS5 is pushing it a bit for a
reasonable one. You should be able to find one fairly cheap though,
certainly for less than your TP is worth.

The problem with your plan is that it depends on someone on this
relatively small list both having an old SPARC they don't want and
wanting a rather crap laptop. This isn't very likely IMO. For instance,
my old SPARC isn't quite up to what you want, I don't want to get rid of
it and I have no use for another low spec laptop, I already have three.

You might have a bit more luck on uk.adverts.computer, a much wider
audience if less specialised. There are a lot of dealers there, and you
are offering quite a good deal.

BTW why do you want a keyboard, no monitor and a serial cable? I assume
you want the serial cable to connect a console; if so you don't need a
keyboard. A SPARC uses the presence or absence of a keyboard to decide
whether to use its own keyboard/monitor as the console or the serial
port. If there's a keyboard attached it will try to use the frame buffer
as the output device.
