Antonella, capitalising an email is equivalent to SHOUTING.
It would come across better if you went easy on the caps lock.
But, hey, nice to see that you've come to a good place to get Linux
advice.

As Mark says, let us know what sort of applications you are interested
in.
With Redhat 8 (I use this also), you should find the following main
applications as icons
in your taskbar at the bottom of the screen:

Mozilla - a web browser
Evolution - an email client
OpenOffice word processor
OpenOffice Impress - for making presentations
OpenOffice spreadsheet

Depending on what you want to do, there are simply thousands of
applications available. Ranging from Project management tools, to
graphics, multimedia, film editing, animation, network management...
the list goes on!

Make sure to set aside time to come to the next GLLUG meeting if you
can.

If you are looking for formal training on Redhat, Lene Jensen from
Redhat is on this list, and I'm sure can steer you in the right
direction.
