   I gather that many individuals working for public authorities are
carefully and quietly introducing Linux at work, worried that any problem
will cause the sky to fall in. In some cases the results delighted everyone,
and I have heard suggestions for a newsgroup specifically aimed at local
authorities. Perhaps something similar is required for education.
