The price, for the most part. Anything under 100ukp is probably not worth 
touching.  Anything under 200ukp probably has a small cache or isn't 
battery backed. Also check that the card has it's own BIOS with inbuilt 
configuration and diagnostics tools. If it relies on software for 
configuration, avoid buying.
