Most of the shops on TCR cater strictly to the soho user and don't do
SCSI. The computer fairs on Saturday are a better bet. A couple of
years back I found a very good SCSI controller going for rather less
than the retail price (lorries, backs of and gravity may have played a
part) and you don't need that for what you're after.
Find out the minimum standards needed to support the drive before you
go. There are a few internet cafés around so you can always nip out of
the fair and check the details of something before buying.
