It's also the standard way for PINE, and even mutt; one has to shift g to
get down the bottom (if using vi) - automatic to do, but to start with
you're at the top of the message.

But yes I do agree it is lazy, and it makes reading discussions harder, but
in general one-on-one correspondence it doesn't really matter to me. But
then I'm an evil Outlook user. ;)
