Hi this is my first post here, to say thanks very much to all who helped 
me with that adsl modem problem last saturday. Thanks in particular to 
Bill who spent around four hours on the problem. I hate to say it but in 
the end I threw money at it and bought an ethernet modem/router, and am 
online with linux, yipee.
