I did stick the web front end in as a poke, hoping to spur discussion
about a front end. It is something I will need. Automatic reports
could be done using a scripting query, thrown out to ps2pdf and then to
mail etc.
However the users do need an interface to enter and manipulate the
data. It seems that knoda is okay for interactive reports; and it looks
like the editing facilities to update fields is usable. Not very
advanced; however I do not think that the databases used are overly complex.
Wow a possible solution, how extremely exciting.
I now need to wade through the pool of very dubious Access 97 databases!!
