Just to get the thread back on topic for this list, it's my Humble & Modest 
Opinion that we in the internet/computers arena lead the rest of the 
population in the development of English. 'Upgrade' has passed back into 
popular use, as has 'application', 'firewall', and 'must. have. more. 
coffeeeee'. And 'tis the linux and OSS set who lead inside the arena.

I thank dog that 'VDU' never made it ;-)
