Current SCSI drives are 15000 RPM. But the larger drives tend to run
slower, to keep down the heat, and increase reliability. For example,
Seagate's 181GB SCSI Barracuda runs at 7200rpm. Of course, it has a
hefty 16MB cache, a 160MB/s transfer rate, and will trounce a similarly
sized IDE drive in performance, but that's why it costs 4 times as much...
