[Gllug] wine with gta3

I know people have managed to get gta3 to work with winex from transgamming.
I will get a subscription when I get a job, & here it's ok to pay for 
things in $ over the 'net.

But in the meantime I've downloaded & compiled the source ok, and I've 
managed to get a few games running.
But GTA3 is a pain in the arse.
It comes up with:
"unload the debugger and try again" during install, anyone got any 
experience of this?

What happens if you pay for something in $ over the net?
