I tried that and it causes difficulty because the recruitment firm want 
to take your contact details off to try to prevent the company 
contacting you directly.

As has been suggested many of these people have difficulty editing a 
word processing file.  Even to the extent of - "You have sent me a file 
with rtf on the end, I cannot use that, may I have a word document 
instead?  We run Word 98 and it cannot open these files."
