[Gllug] Wrong ADSL modem/router?

The normal place for an additional firewall is between the ADSL box and your
hub or switch, so you would only use one of the four outputs from the
integral switch linked to the additional firewall/router box, and that would
connect to your local network via a separate hub or switch.
   My own ADSL box is classed as a router because it can provide NAT via a
single ethernet output, but it is designed to connect to an external hub or
switch, so does not have an internal switch. This is all I need as I have a
firewall/masquerade box which links on to a hub. It had the additional
advantage of being secondhand and cheap.
