[Gllug] [OT] How stupid am I?

Collected my G3 mac only to discover that Apple won't let me plug in a
VGA monitor - the gits!

I can see various adapters for sale - any recommendations. Is there a
penalty for not buying a Mac specific monitor (as there certainly is one
*for* using one - ££££££).
