  Manjush, I also run Redhat 8.0, and came across the same problem 
  As I remember, the Freshrpms site is the place to look 
  I installed this RPM from the site:
  http://psyche.freshrpms.net/rpm.html?id=107
  and as I recall I also installed the xmms RPM from there also 


  Adam and Paul have pointed out the reasons for this already 
  I also echo what Paul says about using Ogg
