Yes indeed. My comments were not intended to be in any way supportive of
the idea of a world where the US government does whatever the hell it
wants (though that's what we seem to be getting more and more of these
days), just to point out that lots of discussions of Iraq are IMHO an
off-topic thread too far.... You're right though - the US becoming
gradually more arrogant and beholden to no-one is probably not a great
thing for the free software community, and the cluelessness/corruption
among US elected representatives is a dangerous thing.
