Sort of on topic, I think that Greggs the sandwich folk use
Linux for their cash registers.

Friend of mine who worked on it briefly amused me with saying
he'd had to create a disk that, if you put it in your CD drive
and booted off it, would effectively transform your PC into
a Greggs till (or at least try to), no questions asked.

Scary thought. You wouldn't want to get that confused with your
latest favourite album.
