Probably not...
Years ago I was responsible for installing a couple of HP9000 servers, fully
racked into a fairly well known leisure groups temp head offices.
I think the building was a converted warehouse and it had wooden, joisted
floors. The offices were located on the first floor, with the ground floor
being used as night club - owned by the same group.
I looked at the servers and made an estimate of the weight and took the
footprint to the site/structural guys at the company I worked and they came
back and said - NO WAY, DONT DO IT.
We took this back to the client and they said do it anyway, not
believing/ignoring our recommendations. They signed a waiver of rights and we
installed the servers.
The floor bounced up and down when you walked into the room and could be seen
to bow in the centre...
The servers were located above the VIP lounge.
This was some time ago, so it should be safe to go into the said night club.
Sometimes you just have to give people what they want and not what they need
