[Gllug] Hard drive spindown

I'd like the HDD on my machine to spindown when idle. Unfortunately,
some process writes to the disk every 5 seconds or so, so even if I
set the spindown to the minimum time (5 seconds), it doesn't spin
down.

See 'vmstat 1' below which was taken on the idle machine after a sync.

There are lots of processes running on this machine. Is there a tool I
can use to see which one is writing to the disk?

Rich.
