[Gllug] Windows NT and 98 and RedHat 7.x 8.x 9.x - R the 2 genetically close?

Is is true that support for NT and certain old Windoze OS expires the same time as RedHat 7.x, 8,x and 9.x (2003-12-31 and 2004-03-31)?
