[Gllug] Dead CD writers

Hello,
   I have been testing some old CD writers of various types and found that
almost all could read OK, but indicated that the FIFO appeared permanently
full or faulty during a write, which if true would seem to be a rather odd
coincidence. Does anyone have any idea on what could be happening? I have
been using CD BakeOven as a frontend.
