There is a very active mailing list!
If you are already using RH 9 and have a high bandwidth connection, you
can upgrade 'in situ'.
The software upgrade mechanism has changed, now the preferred route is to
use Yum, which I think is a good thing.
With Yum, us Redhat types now have a similar model to Debian.
There is a base software repository, an updates area and a testing area.
You choose to, for example, allow updates of the testing software.
For thinks like media players etc. or extra software you add further
repositories to the yum.conf or RHN configuration file,
eg. freshrpms or livna
The default desktop stays with the Bluecurve theme.
Openoffice has been upgraded to 1.1 version.
Happy to answer questions on specific versions of other packages.
