I was staggered to learn that undergraduate Computer Science students at King's College, London used Windows at all (this was a few years back). They also use *nix... on some course.

UCL CS was to wall *nix for teaching.

I know this since I had to train two recent graduates in Solaris skills (circa 1998/99).
