There was a talk at the UKUUG in Edinburgh
I stupidly missed it, as I'm very interested in NHS computing - I worked 
in te NHS for several years, in networking, medical imaging, radiology,
telemedicine etc.

I helped run one of the first Society for the Internet in Medicine 
conferences: http://www.internet-in-medicine.org/
I see the one this year is in Geneva, probably related to the
World Summit on the Information Society

Sadly, the British Healthcare Internet Society, which I elped found,
didn't prosper.

BTW, some Googling just found http://www.oscha.org
Adrian Midgely of Oscha asked me about talking to GLLUG on 
open source in medicine a year or two back. We would have to pay his
train fare from the West country though.
