Have been through this whole process this weekend (a very dead partition
system caused by windows) installing win 98, win XP, Redhat9 and SuSE 8.1. I
can honestly say that, certianly both those distributions of linux, are all
exactly the same to install, but the linux insatllers do have one thing
going for them, they give you a much better idea that something is happening
while still in a lovely looking GUI, unlike widows with its loading bar,
that can some times look like its crashed.
Can't comment about the dabian installer as I have not gone that far yet,
but it is one of the next things on my list to try.
