Easy as pi.
Just install XP first, give it the amount of space you want. 
Then install linux afterwards.
Depending on distro it should even autodetect the windows partition and auto
configure lilo or grub.

If it doesn't auto configure lilo/grub.... well for lilo you just add the
lines

other=/dev/hda1
      label=winXP

to the lilo.conf file and rerun lilo.
