Hi, thanks for your replies
some of you suggested that I should take my laptop to a data recovery expert.
I was wondering if you have any recommendations?
Thanks
Evangelia

Subject: [Gllug] Computer trouble/willing to pay
Importance: High
Hi everyone,
I am in a kind of a real bind. Sometime ago I installed Linux on my HP laptop. I run a dual boot with Windows 2000. I think it is Linux that handles my boot manager Both systems ran smoothly until today.
Now whenever I try to boot Windows I get the following message:
root (hd0, 0)
Filesystem type unknown, partition type 0*7
make active
chainloader +1
a disc error occurred
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart
My Linux system won't start either.
I am in the middle of my PhD research and needless to say it is really important for me to restore my system as soon as possible.
I was wondering if any of you would be willing to help me. I am happy to pay what compensation I can. I live in central London.
Thanks
Evangelia Berdou
