The important thing here is that people remember one thing:

We have the moral right to make software which plays DVDs on Linux /
reads Word documents without MS Office / descrambles e-Books for
back-up or accessibility purposes / decompiles security schemes to
find out how they work / etc.

The danger is that people get so worked up about these laws that
people stop doing these things. The bad law has a "chilling effect"
even when the law might not and certainly should not apply.

So keep doing it, and keep publishing it.
