patents: Giving up meat.
If we give up patents, what else is left? not an alternative, but....

The questions I would like to raise relate to copyright.

I manage http://www.peepo.co.uk, that's P E E P O a website for and bypeople with severe learning difficulties. They have low incomes, as do most people on the planet, so what is wrong with free beer?

The peepo website has been dedicated to the Commons.
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/publicdomain/
Can you please describe in greater detail your reservations regarding dedicating work to the public?

Our users either cannot read, or are learning to read. You'll realise that all forms of illustration are useful to them. Copyright restrictions disable our users, as many users need images re-purposed to suit their needs.
We've recently migrated to a new format: Scaleable Vector Graphics, SVG is a text file, which is interpreted by a software viewer, or browser as an image. Do you have any comments on the copyright of illustrations?

Could you describe your views about W3C and patents?

I recognise that Richard wasn't completely well, however, making assumptions about peoples views is dangerous, and people who's first language isn't English, also have a right to be heard,as do those whose views maybe different to the speaker, or indeed the majority.
