I'm running the unstable version:

$ apt-show-versions -a -p apache
apache  1.3.27.1-2      install ok installed
apache  1.3.26-0woody3  stable
apache  1.3.27.1-2      unstable
apache/unstable uptodate 1.3.27.1-2

The changelog contains:

apache (1.3.27.1-1) unstable; urgency=low

    [...]
    - We now link against libpthread (Closes: #199001, #203095)

Damn. Opens a whole load of bugs for me ...
